Terms and Conditions
1. Damage Policy
We get it—gear is meant to be used. Reasonable wear and tear (like a few scuffs or scratches) is expected and won’t be charged.
However, renters are responsible for any damage beyond normal use, including but not limited to:
Broken, cracked, or bent equipment as a result of misuse
Missing parts or accessories
If any gear is lost, stolen, or severely damaged, you may be charged up to the full replacement value. We inspect all gear before and after each rental, and if there are any issues, we’ll reach out to work with you and resolve the situation on a case-by-case basis.
Please treat the gear like it’s your own—so the next adventurer can enjoy it too.
If you're unsure whether something counts as damage, feel free to ask. We’re happy to work with you.
2. Cancellation Policy
Plans change—we totally understand. Here's how cancellations are handled:
Free Cancellation: Cancel at least 48 hours before your booking start time for a full refund to your original payment method.
Cancellations within 48 hours: A 20% cancellation fee will apply. The remaining 80% will be refunded to your original payment method.
Same-day Cancellations: A 50% cancellation fee will apply. The remaining 50% will be refunded to your original payment method.
Please note: No-shows or failure to pick up gear without notice are not eligible for a refund.
3. Late Return Fees
All gear must be returned by the agreed-upon date and time. Late returns impact other adventurers. Make sure you're aware of our Late Return Policy before you head out:
If gear is returned late, you will be charged the full price of the rental for each additional day past the scheduled return date.
If gear is more than 3 days overdue and we haven’t heard from you, it may be considered lost or stolen, and you may be charged the full replacement value.
If you’re delayed due to weather, safety, or unforeseen circumstances—please let us know as soon as possible. We’re happy to work with you if we can.
4. Release of Liability
Backcountry travel and outdoor exploration come with inherent risks. To rent with us, all customers are required to sign a Release of Liability. By signing, you agree to:
Acknowledge and accept the risks associated with using our equipment and participating in outdoor activities.
Assume full responsibility for the safe and proper use of all rented gear.
Inspect the equipment upon pickup and report any concerns or issues before use.
Release our company from liability in the event of injury, accident, or damages resulting from the use (or misuse) of the gear.
Your safety should always come first—don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need guidance on how to use any gear.
However, remember that it's ultimately your responsibility to ensure you have the knowledge to use the gear correctly and navigate the areas you're heading into.
